The Role The Australian Defence Force (ADF) Family Health Program (Program) is a recruitment and retention initiative introduced in January 2014 following a comprehensive trial. The Program allows claims for reimbursement of up to $800 per dependant, per financial year for a range of health services, and unlimited reimbursement of general practitioner services gap fees. The Program is supported through a major contract with a third party which provides claims administration. Key activities for the role include: Perform contract management activities associated with the Program contracted claims administrator; Commence procurement activities for a contracted claims administrator to support the Program; Undertake an evaluation of the Program; Support the development of a new ICT Platform that enables the Program. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team Joint Health Command (JHC) is responsible for the delivery of healthcare services to over 70,000 Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel. Through the delivery of reliable, resilient and best practice health services, JHC enables a healthy, ready, and supported Force from enlistment through to transition from service. The Australian Defence Force (ADF) Family Health Program team provides administrative support for the Program through management of Program eligibility, Program registrations, eligible services for reimbursement and advice on submitting reimbursement claims. Additionally, the team undertakes contract management activities for a major contract, which supports the Program.
