Assistant Director, Engagement and Partnerships Herston We have an exciting Permanent full-time opportunity for you to join our Communicable Diseases Branch located in Herston! This role will work collaboratively as a key member of the BBVSTI Unit leadership team, and proactively with stakeholders, to deliver on strategic commitments and support best practice local implementation of policies and programs. The Assistant Director Engagement and Partnerships, Blood Borne Viruses and Sexually Transmissible Infections (BBVSTI) Unit, Communicable Diseases Branch is part of the leadership team within the BBVSTI Unit. The role provides strategic, state-wide leadership, authoritative advice and expert direction in the development and implementation of strategies and methods to foster and maintain high functioning collaborative partnerships with program partners and other stakeholders. You will provide strategic leadership of the development, implementation and monitoring of consumer and stakeholder co-designed engagement and health promotion programs, tools and resources to support advances in health literacy and behaviour change. The successful person You will have: Demonstrated high level strategic leadership to drive and deliver strategic stakeholder engagement and communication priorities and objectives. Demonstrated expert knowledge and application of program and project governance methodologies and the development of associated templates, tools and resources to monitor and report on outcomes. Demonstrated expert ability to consult and provide authoritative expert advice and guidance on complex public health matters associated with large-scale, multi-partner and complex systems to internal and external stakeholders including government executives and peak organisations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to build and maintain strong and effective collaborative working relationships across Queensland's public health system. Outstanding written communication skills with demonstrated experience in writing strategic and operational plans, impactful reports and government briefs. Outstanding leadership skills and an ability to manage staff in line with contemporary human resource and management practices. QPHaSS leads statewide planning and coordination of programs and services to prevent, diagnose and control diseases, hazards and harmful practices and enhance protective health factors to promote the overall health and wellbeing of Queenslanders. The Communicable Diseases Branch (CDB) is responsible for the surveillance, prevention, and control of communicable diseases in Queensland. This involves overseeing legislation, policy, and operational management of communicable diseases.
