Job Description

The Assistant Environmental Health Officer will provide support to the Senior Environmental Health Officer in administering Council’s functions in relation to environmental and public health; assessing and determining certain applications under the Local Government Act; undertaking inspections associated with the Food Act, Public Health Act and Local Government Act, within statutory timeframes and in accordance with relevant legislative provisions; and provide timely and regulatory advice to the public and other professionals associated with this role. The Assistant Environmental Health Officer will also be required to maintain Council’s registers, provide administrative support to the Planning, Environment and Regulatory Services Department, demonstrate high levels of customer service and have excellent organisational skills.
