About Our Client: Our client is a Boutique Periodontal Practice in Malvern East, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and long-term oral health solutions. Specializing in advanced periodontal and surgical procedures , including implants, sinus elevations, and reconstructive treatments, they have a collaborative team committed to excellence, efficiency, and streamlined administrative processes. About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced, motivated, and accountable Clinical Manager / Assistant Manager to join their growing practice. This leadership role blends hands-on clinical assistance with team coordination and managerial responsibilities. As a key member of their team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of clinical operations while fostering a supportive and high-performing team culture. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management – Supervise, mentor, and support the clinical assistant team, ensuring efficient workflows and staff development. Clinical Support – Assist in complex periodontal and surgical procedures, including implants, sinus elevations, immediate load cases, soft tissue grafting, and bone grafting. Infection Control & Compliance – Oversee adherence to infection control protocols and clinical policies, ensuring a high standard of patient safety. Resource & Inventory Management – Proactively manage stock, instruments, and equipment to ensure readiness for procedures. Scheduling Coordination – Work closely with the Practice Manager to optimize clinical scheduling and ensure smooth patient flow. Patient Care – Build strong patient rapport, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable before, during, and after treatment. Training & Development – Participate in team meetings, contribute to staff training, and support the onboarding of new team members. Support for Anesthesia Procedures – Assist with procedures performed under Local Anesthetic, General Anesthetic, and IV Sedation. About You: You have a strong background in surgical dental assisting and are eager to step into a leadership role. You are highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented —always one step ahead in planning and prioritization. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to achieving high clinical and operational standards. You have strong leadership qualities and enjoy managing, mentoring, and motivating a clinical team. You are adaptable and willing to take on managerial responsibilities to drive practice efficiency. Your Experience & Qualifications: Certificate III in Dental Assisting (mandatory) – required for hospital environments. Certificate IV and Den 4/5 qualifications (highly regarded). 5+ years of experience in surgical dental assisting , particularly in sterile procedures. Proven leadership experience or a strong desire to develop managerial skills. Commitment to exceptional patient care with a proactive and empathetic approach. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic clinical setting.
