Ex Big4 Partners & clients turning over $100mil Work from home flexibility About the Firm: Morgan Consulting is excited to be partnering with a progressive accounting and advisory firm located in the Melbourne CBD seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager to join a motivated and collaborative team. They have experienced steady growth for several years now which has opened the door for a new member to join the business services team. The Partners have an open-door policy and offer extensive support to the team. This firm provides regular training, quarterly social events, working from home flexibility and an excellent team culture. They don’t use timesheets and are fully on the cloud using Xero. Key Responsibilities: Build relationships with clients from day one Preparation of management reports, financial statements, tax returns and BAS’s for partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSF’s Exposure to a variety of taxation matters including GST, CGT, FBT, Division 7A etc Collaborate on tax planning and other consulting and advisory services Delegating and reviewing the work of juniors Assist in managing team workflow Working closely with the Partners Requirements: 5+ years’ experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm Commenced or completed your CA or CPA studies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Outstanding technical skills in a range of areas including income tax, accounting, compliance obligations, GST & payroll tax Confident in a client-facing role, ability to multi-task with strong analytical and problem-solving skills A desire to succeed and achieve goals both as a team and individually Sound knowledge of Xero is desirable Please note, only suitable candidates for this role will be contacted.
