Situated within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, the Bond University Medical Program comprises two sequential degrees, the Bachelor of Medical Studies, and the Doctor of Medicine. The program has full accreditation with the Australian Medical Council and strongly emphasises the quality of the student experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and teaching Advanced Clinical Skills in the Doctor of Medicine. They will also lead the Clinical Placements Coach (CPC) Program, supporting students across multiple hospital sites. This role has additional responsibility for curriculum development and will demonstrate appropriate research commitment aligned with Faculty and Program priority areas. About the person The successful candidate will hold current registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner in Australia, or full eligibility to obtain such registration. A PhD or other post-graduate qualification in a relevant field is normally required; however, exceptions to degree requirements will be made for individuals with substantial professional competence and clinical skills and experience. Applicants will have a track record of effective teaching and academic administration of clinical skills within a medical education context and developing experience in relevant research supported by strong evidence of scholarship. They will have high order communication skills and the ability to work in teams with academics from multiple disciplines. Salary details The salary details for this position are outlined below. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees, and a clinical loading may be applied as appropriate. Assistant Professor (Level A) remuneration commences at $160,204.81 (FTE) per annum, plus 17.5% superannuation. Assistant Professor (Level B) remuneration commences at $134,792.41 (FTE) per annum, plus 17.5% superannuation.
