The program has full accreditation with the Australian Medical Council and strongly emphasises the quality of the student experience. The role requires an academic medical specialist with a proven track record of innovations in clinical education, change management in hospitals, and a deep knowledge of clinical education in medical schools. About the person The successful candidate will hold recognition in Australia as a specialist medical practitioner with current registration with AHPRA. A PhD or other post-graduate qualification in a relevant field is normally required; however, exceptions to degree requirements will be made for individuals with substantial professional competence and clinical skills and experience. Candidates will have a track record of effective teaching and academic leadership within the medical education context, with experience in relevant research supported by strong evidence of scholarship. They will have high order communication and engagement skills and the ability to lead and develop high-level stakeholder relationships and lead academic teams across multiple disciplines. Salary details The salary details for these positions are outlined below. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees, and a clinical loading may be applied as appropriate. Professor remuneration commences at $215,265.21 per annum plus 17.5% superannuation. Associate Professor (Level A) remuneration commences at $184,208.27 per annum plus 17.5% superannuation. Associate Professor (Level B) remuneration commences at $168,153.03 per annum plus 17.5% superannuation.
