The Opportunity We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Banking & Finance team of an Australian mid-tier law firm. As part of a full-service national law firm, the team collaborates with specialists across tax structuring, M&A, property, IP and technology, insolvency, planning, construction, and other key practice areas, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to complex matters.About the Team The team provides comprehensive advice on a wide range of financing and security arrangements, including real estate finance, corporate and acquisition finance, restructuring, project and infrastructure finance, structured trade and receivables, derivatives, and Islamic finance. They handle a diverse portfolio of high-calibre transactions, acting for ‘Big 4’ domestic and international banks, leading private lenders, and blue-chip sponsors. The team advises on significant local and cross-border financings across various industries, delivering commercially focused solutions. Known for its collegiate and dynamic culture, the team places a strong emphasis on professional excellence. Quality is prioritised over quantity, fostering an environment where partners trust their lawyers to manage their work effectively. Candidates should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong drafting abilities, and a client-centric approach to their work.
