Associate Post Transaction Management Employment Type: Ongoing Classification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 7/8 Remuneration: $110,266 - $122,058; plus, Superannuation and Leave Loading Location: Sydney CBD, Flexible & hybrid working options available Applications Close: Thursday 20 February 2025 at 9:59am Role impact & contribution The Associate, Post Transaction Management role involves managing the contractual obligations of the State and residual entities, mitigating State’s risks, managing claims and disputes, and negotiating with counterparties on proposed changes to transaction documents and other commercial proposals. The role is also responsible for managing a State-owned corporation (from a shareholder’s perspective), building and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues and with private sector businesses. You will be joining our Commercial Group and will be working within the Post Transaction Management Unit . What you can bring to the role The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: You are a trusted expert advisor. Member of a high performing team that undertakes transaction-related work including legal and financial analysis, contractual negotiation, commercial structuring, project management, environmental compliance and risk management. You have commercial acumen. Provide support and advice on complex commercial terms and transaction documentation and management of associated negotiations with the private sector. You are a collaborator. Partner with Treasury colleagues and private sector counterparties to manage the State’s residual assets and liabilities. You are solution focused. You are focused on both analysing the nature of a problem and developing potential solutions and/or effective and achievable recommendations. You’re a good communicator.
