Associate Dean/Director (Education Product Management) Lead our Product Roadmap as the Associate Dean/Director (Education Product Management) at Collarts! Have you got project management experience in the education industry complemented with a commercial acumen? We’re on the hunt for a visionary Associate Dean/Director (Education Product Management) to lead our educational product roadmap. Your mission is to ensure our HE award courses, VET training products, and non-award/short course offerings are best in class and ever-evolving. As a key member of our management team, your broad multidisciplinary experience in diverse higher education settings for product development will contribute to Collarts' reputation as a leading creative education provider. About us: Collarts (and its predecessor Ausmusic) began more than 30 years ago with three programs, a handful of students and a small team of dedicated lecturers. Our foundation disciplines were music and audio – a proudly rock and roll start to life. Operating as Collarts from 2010, today we teach more than 2,000 students from over 30 countries in 4 campuses and 50 high schools. We offer 24 degree programs, 5 vocational certificates and we’re ranked #1 for QILT student engagement for creative industry providers in Australia. The role: Reporting to the Dean/Chief Academic Officer, the Associate Dean/Director (Education Product Management) will oversee the creation of a Collarts Product Roadmap, leading: the development of business cases for new educational products, working closely with program and marketing teams to identify opportunities for Collarts to better meet student and industry needs. the design of new educational products, in collaboration with the Curriculum Writer, Program Leaders and external Course Advisory Committees. new course accreditation via the relevant internal and external governance, including Academic Board and VET and HE regulatory bodies, and where applicable industry or professional associations. the cycle of course reviews required for quality monitoring and continuous improvement of HE award courses, ensuring students have the best possible learning experience and are prepared to meet current and future industry needs. HE award course renewal and material changes, including overseeing plans for student transitions and teach-outs in collaboration with the academic and student administration teams. VET training package updates and changes, working closely with the VET Manager to ensure VET learners are in current training products. course-level CRICOS related matters, ensuring compliance with the National Code, and the development of modularised short-form content where applicable, providing non-award / short course options for an extended audience. Providing high level project management and administrative support to the program teams, the Associate Dean/Director (Education Product Management) will pull together expertise and insights from academics, market and business intelligence, industry partners and professional bodies and students, creating a Product Roadmap that strengthens Collarts’ position in the market and ensures outstanding program currency and quality. We are looking for someone who has: Postgraduate qualification in any field, and at least five years experience in a managerial or senior role in a highly regulated business. High-level knowledge of course review, accreditation or course design processes, including demonstrated achievement of complex regulatory outcomes such as accreditations. Demonstrated experience in planning, project management and delivery within the education sector in a senior management role that required the exercise of a high level of independence and professional judgement. Demonstrated experience in the management and coordination of a variety of stakeholders, internal and external to the organisation. Extensive high order writing skills including well-developed analytical and report writing skills with the proven ability to convey information, ideas and concepts clearly and effectively to a variety of different audiences. Highly developed interpersonal skills, with proven ability to deal discreetly and retain confidentiality, respect cultural diversity, and communicate effectively with a broad range of people. Highly motivated and pro-active with highly developed organisational and time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment. Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with a range of staff and to achieve results in complex and sensitive environments. It's a bonus if you have: 5 years’ experience in education product management, managing one or more aspects of product inception, business case stage gates, design, accreditation, launch, early review, comprehensive review and course improvement in a HE setting; In-depth knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework, the Higher Education Standards Framework and the National Code.
