You will be a senior member of a team which helps articulate, solve and communicate solutions to complex problems through the use of quantitative analysis.What will your typical day look like? Your role will involve working within a high performing team who:â?¢ Engage with clients to gain an understanding of their requirementsâ?¢ Apply quantitative skills to develop robust analysisâ?¢ Communicate outcomes and recommendationsâ?¢ Gain exposure to a range of industries including infrastructure, health, transport, justice, and energy & resourcesâ?¢ Develop internal and external networks, contributing to the growth of the businessAbout the team We are a diverse team with a high level of client interaction across all levels of staff. Specifically, the team informs policy decisions, develops strategic recommendations, assesses project feasibility and prepares compelling business cases.Examples of our work:Our team has worked on a range of interesting and exciting projects. In the last few years, we have:â?¢ Helped state and federal governments quantify the impact of significant policy reformsâ?¢ Undertaken financial analysis to support the development of business cases for significant infrastructure and ICT projectsâ?¢ Reviewed and developed approaches to pricing access to infrastructureâ?¢ Assisted state and federal government departments assess and determine operating and revenue models for the delivery of servicesâ?¢ Helped our clients navigate through the energy transition by building tools to support the financial analysis of alternative pathways and investment optionsâ?¢ Developed financial models and provided advice to inform feasibility studies and business cases to support investment decisions, with a particular focus on emerging technologies such as hydrogen, renewable technologies and batteriesâ?¢ Provided financial analysis to support the development of the policy framework and investment decisions in relation to Renewable Energy Zonesâ?¢ Supported clients in understanding the impact of being subject to a regulatory framework through the development of building block models to forecast regulated tariffsEnough about us, let's talk about you. You will bring commercial, financial or economic experience, and at least 5+ years of experience in an energy/public sector or advisory environment, with specific skills in:â?¢ Developing quantitative and qualitative analysis to support decision makingâ?¢ Applying analytical frameworks using either financial, commercial or economic skillsâ?¢ Communicating analysis in well-structured, evidence-based reports suitable for a variety of audiences including government and/or industryWhy Deloitte?
