The Hobart Community Nursing Service: Is based at Upper Statton Building, Repatriation Centre, 90 Davey Street, Hobart and delivers nursing care to clients in their homes in the cities of Hobart and Glenorchy, in nurse run clinics and in Glenorchy Ambulatory Care Centre. Diverse and complex nursing care is delivered including wound management, catheter care, post-acute care, end of life care, and intravenous therapies including oncology interventions. The Role: The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice: Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework. Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day patient care activities, including: Coordination of client contact scheduling Referral triage and management Clinical input to service remuneration processes including brokerage arrangements Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate safe discharge and complex care in the community Conduct audits, risk screening and respond to safety events including the implementation and evaluation of quality improvement activities Assist with orientation and onboarding of new community nurses You will need: Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework. Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols. Details of appointment: Multiple fixed term full time/part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately six (6) months. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
