About the role South West Healthcare's Critical Care Unit is seeking a motivated, highly skilled, and experienced Registered Nurse to provide day-to-day leadership and management of the Critical Care team in the position of Associate Nurse Unit Manager. The unit provides care to a broad range of complex patients ranging from neonates to the elderly. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role, supporting a dedicated team while fostering a positive and professional work environment. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients and their families, working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to uphold clinical standards, ensure exceptional patient outcomes, manage resources effectively, supervise staff, and contribute to the overall management of the unit. Position overview Full-time (80 hours per fortnight), On-going position Rotating Roster (Morning/Evenings/Night Duty) Warrnambool Campus Associate Nurse Unit Manager Year 1 or Year 2 Salary Range: $112,174 - $115,949.60, plus superannuation What you bring A Registered Nurse - holding a current Registration Certificate as required by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant postgraduate/tertiary qualification in Critical Care / Emergency Nursing A minimum of five years post-graduate nursing experience, with demonstrated excellent clinical assessment skills. Demonstrated strong clinical, safety, and professional standards within the Emergency environment, including patient-centred care. Demonstrated ability to serve as a role model, effectively solve problems, and provide strong supervision and support to staff. Demonstrated ability to communicate orally, electronically, and in writing. Demonstrated commitment to professional development of self and others.
