Base salary range: Level D, $166,851- $183,563 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation. About the area The Department of Accounting & Finance in the Business School offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses as well as research-based doctoral degrees. Academics in the Department deliver high quality teaching and conduct high quality research. About the opportunity Contribute to world-class teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while conducting high-impact, independent and collaborative research to enhance the School's reputation. Mentor junior colleagues and HDR students, engage with national and international research networks, and attract external research funding to further the School's academic standing. Actively contribute to governance, strategic planning, and community engagement, supporting the University's diversity and inclusion goals, while representing UWA in external professional and industry partnerships. About you Hold a PhD or equivalent in Accounting. Demonstrated interest in teaching in the areas of financial accounting, accounting information systems, auditing, and/or taxation. Show evidence of an ability to guide the direction and supervision of postgraduate students and be willing to supervise honours or postgraduate research projects. Demonstrated interest in the application of business analytics tools (including Python, R, Excel, and Tableau) to accounting and finance-related problems, together with an ability to teach with those tools would be highly valued. Demonstrate a significant personal contribution and commitment to high quality teaching and learning, including prior teaching experience.
