We are on the look-out for a BDM Energy, Water, Mining & Ports - ANZ to join our Energy and Infrastructure Division. In this role you will drive overarching business development activity, sales growth and strategy execution for Energy (O&G / Renewables-Green), Water, Mining and Ports segments. Sub segments include; Oil & Gas (Onshore/Offshore), Wind (Onshore / Offshore), Solar, Hydrogen, Waste to Energy, Water and Waste Water, Hydro, Mining, Port Terminal Infrastructure. As the BDM Energy, Water, Mining & Ports - ANZ, you will be responsible for: Securing Hempel’s inclusion (and maintaining ongoing) within technical coating specifications of major owners and top-tier contractors within designated segments for maintenance and capital projects. Collaborating with relevant external stakeholders (engineers, industry peers and consultants, fabricators, applicators) and local and offshore internal stakeholders (sales team, BD, KAM, GKAM, Marketing and Solutions Management, Technical Service) to manage opportunities and convert specification position, and identified targeted non-specified opportunities to profitable sales per set financial targets, with end to end accountability. Representing Hempel at relevant industry events. Continually developing comprehensive understanding and training on Hempel’s product solutions, new technologies, and other differentiators i.e., sustainability. Collaborating with commercial/sales teams routinely on sales/project cycle stages to own/assist with sales and product forecasting. Frequent travel within ANZ. In order to be considered for this role you will have: Demonstrated success in B2B business development (particularly with asset owners and engineers). Technical skills within protective and marine coatings experience/certification preferred. Professional presentation and manner. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Customer focused with a strategic and growth mindset. Demonstrated planning and analytical skills. Fantastic negotiation and problem-solving skills.
