BI Architect (AE10272) Canberra, Australia Salary: AUD140 - AUD160 per hour + All Client Fees Disclosed ACT, NSW or QLD - Flexible work arrangements - WFH Data architect - Fed Gov data warehouse and BI space Our client, a large Federal Government department based in Woden, ACT or NSW, QLD, requires an experienced BI Architect for a long 12 + 12 + 12 month contract. Duties Deliver architecture and design documentation understanding the enterprise patterns and data technology in the data and Business Intelligence (BI) space. Understand complex information systems and design effective data solution architecture and models to acquire, store, retrieve, analyse and visualise departmental data. Expertise in on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments including and understanding of cloud computing and cloud native tools. Support development and test teams to realise solution architecture into a delivered solution. Provide architecture and technical leadership in one or more of the following Data/BI platforms: Teradata, Oracle, Google Cloud Platform, Informatica, SAS, PowerBI, Qlik, Looker. Selection Criteria Experience as a data architect or architecting solutions in a data warehouse and BI space (3+ years). Knowledge of governance methods in relation to Power BI and experience enforcing governance and best practices around usage of BI tools. Training end users on adopting Power BI and following best practices around responsible use of data. Migrating BI artefacts from other BI tools into Power BI. In-depth technical skills to manage complex Datawarehouse operations in large and complex organisations. Planning, designing and establishing enterprise capability for BI and visualisation tools such as Power BI and manage competing stakeholder interests.
