Position Summary DW & BI Architect/ consultant having 20+ years of experience in DW/ETL and BI design, data architecture, data modeling, database design/development, data analysis, data profiling and implementation activities. Mandatory Skills Defining the data lifecycle - understand data requirements, data discovery, data acquisition/store, data curation/transform, data integration, data sharing and publishing. Provide consultation & review implementing data governance framework as per industry standards and organization guiderails. Create data models for analytics platform. Define, Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and data transport routines that adhere to ETL principles and business goals. Make the data available for consumption through the approved mechanisms and standards. Building the HLD for data & ETL design. Roles And Responsibilities Work closely with customers to understand their data requirements, develop, and model data structure. Create conceptual, logical data models. Generate physical data model and apply database technology specific/optimized constructs. Support users in identifying critical data elements (CDE) for reports. Design and build the ingestion process to provide access to data from operational and enterprise source systems. Work with various on-prem and cloud-based data platforms, technologies, and services for integration. Build robust data architecture and ETL framework. Work closely with database teams on topics related to data requirements, cleanliness, quality, tuning, security etc. Drive the team to deliver high quality projects on technical front. Estimate the effort and timelines for technical deliverables. Qualifications & Certifications 15+ years of experience in defining data model - Both normalized and denormalized models, customizing Industry models like FSLDM. 12+ years of experience in traditional data warehousing / ETL tools like Informatica, Teradata loading utilities. Hands-on experience in multiple MPP, Distributed Processing and traditional database technologies such as Teradata, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Spark, Hadoop, Hive. 5+ years of experience in Data Governance activities such as Data Architecture, Data Quality Management, Reference and Master data management, Metadata management, Security and Access Control management. Have built Data Quality Framework with metadata-based rules and routines in couple of data integration programs. Created automation for code generation & repeatable processes with VBA, SQL and Unix scripting languages. Experience working in DevOps, Agile/Scrum, Continuous Delivery and/or Rapid Application Development environments. Well versed in tools like Erwin, Oracle SQL Data Modeler.
