Job Description
Position Overview: This position is suitable for a Senior Data Modeler or Data / Information Architect with current hands-on Data Modelling skills. Key Information: Great Rates: $1,000 to $1,338 per day; WFH Hybrid: 2 to 3 days in office per week; Initial 12 Months with good prospect of renewal; Convenient Location; Key position within Information Management practice; End-user Organization; To be successful for this role, your CV will need to reflect the following skill-set: Extensive experience as a technical Data Modeler / Data Designer or Information Architect; Extensive and recent experience in hands-on Data Modelling, including logical, physical and conceptual layers; Detailed and demonstrated understanding of dimensional data models, star schema, and Kimball methodologies; Recent experience with Microsoft Azure Analytics stack and Data Presentation / Visualisation; Recent experience on Enterprise level Data Modeling, Data ingestion, and data quality management; Recent experience in mapping source to target data across complex and large datasets; Experience in understanding business rules and ability to implement rules into data models; Demonstrated communications and stakeholder engagement skills and ability to align business strategy with data design; Preferred but not essential: Experience across cloud Data Models, preferably Azure; Experience with Enterprise Asset Management Systems; Main Responsibilities: Design and development of data models across physical, logical, and conceptual layers and contribution towards overall information architecture and strategy; Providing data ingestion strategy between legacy systems and cloud / analytics systems; Ensuring quality data feed to Microsoft analytics stack such as Azure Synapse for decision-making purposes; Working directly with the business to understand business rules and aligning data models with the business rules; Presenting data to senior stakeholders.
