Job Description
About the role As the Bar Manager at the prestigious Royal Queensland Golf Club, you will play a vital role in providing an exceptional hospitality experience for our valued members and guests. This full-time position is based at our Eagle Farm, Queensland location and is responsible for overseeing all bar operations to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our clubhouse facilities. What you’ll be doing Manage and supervise bar staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to all relevant policies and procedures Oversee the ordering, stock control and rotation of all bar products to maintain optimal inventory levels Plan and implement staff training programs to develop the skills and knowledge of the bar team Ensure bar facilities and equipment are well-maintained and in compliance with health and safety regulations Develop and implement strategies to maximise bar revenue and profitability Liaise with the Food & Beverage Manager to align bar offerings with the overall clubhouse experience Monitor and analyse bar sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Provide leadership and mentoring to the bar team to foster a positive and productive work environment What we’re looking for Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar bar management role, ideally within the hospitality or club industry Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of bar staff Strong knowledge of bar operations, inventory management and cost controlExcellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing a premium guest experience Proficient in using POS systems and inventory management software Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work weekends and public holidays as required What we offer At the Royal Queensland Golf Club, we are committed to providing our employees a rewarding and fulfilling work environment.
