Pace Farm is on the hunt for a hands-on Farm Manager & Assistant Farm Manager, who aren't afraid to get their boots dirty and roll up their sleeves. You’ll oversee a dedicated team, ensuring the health and well-being of our feathered friends while managing a variety of farm activities.We’re not just looking for someone with prior farm management experience – we’re also open to candidates who are currently in a leading hand role or feel they have the right skills to step up into this type of position. From caring for the birds to maintaining our sheds, you’ll be on the ground making things happen while leading a small team to success. If you’re ready to step up and take charge, we want you on board! What You’ll Do Be hands-on in checking the health and well-being of the birds, ensuring they have plenty of feed and water. Lead the cleaning and maintenance of sheds, and ensure all vaccinations are up to date. Work with your team, including a 2IC, to tackle the day-to-day tasks and keep everything running smoothly. Take care of manure management and get hands-on with equipment like pressure washers. Keep an eye on the packing facility as needed and ensure everything stays safe and sound. About You Do you love rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck into farm work? This isn’t a desk job – we’re looking for someone who thrives on hands-on action and can lead a team with energy and passion. Whether you’ve been a Farm Manager before, are currently in a leading hand role, or feel you have the necessary skills to step up into a management position, we want someone who can bring a practical, “let’s get this done” attitude to the farm. Previous experience in poultry is great but not essential – what matters most is your leadership skills, problem-solving ability, and mechanical know-how. What You’ll Need Experience in poultry or animal welfare is desirable. A forklift license, or a willingness to get one. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate your team.
