Mamamia is on the lookout for a Beauty and Health Editor to join our best-in-class Editorial team. But first, here's a bit about us. Mamamia is Australia's largest women's media company. Our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls. That's what guides everything we do. And, uh, we do a lot. Mamamia reaches seven million women each month across our written, video, audio, and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world. What we're looking for. As Beauty and Health Editor, you'll be the driving force behind Mamamia's lifestyle content, shaping compelling stories across beauty, health, home and fashion that our audience can't wait to read. Working closely with our Deputy Editor, you'll lead a diverse network of writers, bringing fresh perspectives and must-read content to life. You're someone who lives and breathes digital content, knows what makes a story pop, and can spot a viral beauty trend before it hits the mainstream. You'll take ownership of our lifestyle vertical, masterfully balancing SEO-driven content with scroll-stopping stories that keep our readers coming back for more. From commissioning pieces that spark conversation to crafting your own standout articles, you'll work collaboratively with our Social, Audience, and SEO teams to ensure every piece of content hits the mark. Your keen eye for quality and natural ability to build relationships will help drive both editorial excellence and commercial success. Please note - This is an initial 12 month contract. Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us: You're a digital-first editor with a proven track record in creating engaging lifestyle content that drives both traffic and engagement across written, social, and podcast platforms. You have a keen eye for quality control and can expertly guide writers to deliver content that's not just engaging, but also SEO-optimised and commercially savvy. You're a natural storyteller who can spot unique angles in everything from daily beauty podcasts to trending topics, turning them into must-read content that resonates with our audience. You understand the commercial side of digital media, with experience in affiliate partnerships and branded content, plus the ability to identify strategic opportunities across key sales periods. You're an organised self-starter who can manage multiple deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards, whether you're commissioning content, editing submissions, or creating your own pieces. You have strong stakeholder management skills and can confidently represent the brand at industry events, commercial meetings, and editorial planning sessions. Now, a bit about you. At least 6 years experience as a writer/editor (with at least 3 in digital publishing). Strong analytical skills and ability to use data and insights to inform content mix, identify strategic opportunities and track performance metrics. Passion for quality content and strong understanding of SEO best practices. Continuously seek to improve by giving and receiving feedback with honesty, respect, curiosity, and openness. Ability to prioritise the needs and perspectives of our audience and commercial partners in decision-making and problem-solving. Demonstrated ability to adapt a measured approach and drive process improvement initiatives and solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrates a positive and proactive attitude towards work, possessing a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude). Life at Mamamia. We're fast-paced, innovative, and deeply collaborative. Mamamia feels small enough that you can create real and tangible change, but has the structure to support your ideas with experienced and industry-leading teams, and deliver them to an audience of millions of women every month. We have a startup spirit within a scaled-up business structure and we're incredibly proud of the culture and community we've created. Our team is inclusive, passionate, and fun; many lifelong friendships and connections have been forged in Mamamia HQ. But enough about us, let's talk about how we can help you. At Mamamia, we want to support all of our staff in kicking as many career goals as possible so that's why we'll support you in getting involved in the things you're actually interested in.
