Our rapidly expanding Sunshine Coast Architectural metalwork business is looking for an experienced, quality fabricator to join our team. Australian Metalwork Systems is seeking an experienced welder for a full-time position at our factory in Yandina, Sunshine Coast. We require someone experienced with aluminium pulse MIG welding, able to weld to high standards as maintaining the highest quality is integral to our success. About the business: Solid volume of well-planned and organised work – mainly in commercial construction Highly committed fabrication team delivering quality customised architectural metalwork Opportunities to grow and learn within a supportive team environment WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU: Perform fabrication and welding tasks as directed by the factory manager Read and interpret engineering/fabrication drawings and specifications Adhere to OH&S requirements and maintain a safe working environment Commitment to adhere to LEAN manufacturing principles and strive to improve efficiency and effectiveness of day to day tasks Complete all work to a high standard of accuracy and quality Communicate effectively with team members and management Reliable WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO RECEIVE: Work in a small but highly effective team Work in an open, collaborative, and progressive culture Be involved in a range of interesting and diverse projects within the commercial sector in and around South East Queensland Very strong pipeline of commercial work into 2025 and beyond KEY SKILLS REQUIRED: Great work ethic Attention to detail and very high quality of work Ability to work to timeframes & deadlines Ability to communicate effectively to all team members Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experienced in Aluminium pulse MIG welding ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Trade Qualification in Boilermaking / Sheetmetal cert or trade Proficiency in various welding techniques (particularly aluminium pulse MIG) Right to work in Australia HOW TO APPLY: Please provide a brief resume and letter of application.
