Are you a dynamic and experienced retail professional with a passion for the liquor industry? The TRC Hotel Bottleshop is looking for a motivated Bottleshop Manager to lead our team and drive excellence in service, sales, and operations. About us: The TRC Bottleshop is a well-known Bottleshop located on Paterson Street, Launceston. We are open 7 days a week, offering a wide range of wines, spirits, and beer. We are part of the JAC Group – Josef Chromy’s private investment group with a core focus in Hospitality, Tourism, and Property. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service. About the Role: As the Bottleshop Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Bottleshop, ensuring a high level of customer service, managing stock and suppliers, and leading a team to achieve business goals. This is a full-time role that requires a hands-on leader with strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills. The Manager will have a high degree of autonomy and freedom to implement ideas and make their own mark on the Bottleshop. Key Responsibilities: Store Operations: Manage the overall operation of the Bottleshop, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining store presentation, and ensuring compliance with all liquor licensing regulations. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, foster relationships with regular customers, and enhance the shopping experience. Stock Management: Oversee ordering, receiving, and stock control to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize wastage, and ensure product availability. Sales & Promotions: Implement and manage sales strategies, promotions, and merchandising to drive revenue growth. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage staff, ensuring a positive work environment and a high-performance culture. Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to all legal requirements, including RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol), and maintain security measures to prevent theft or loss. Financial Management: Monitor sales, budgets, and expenses to optimize profitability, including daily cash handling and reconciliation. What We Are Looking For: Previous experience in a Bottleshop, liquor store, or retail management role. Strong knowledge base of wines, spirits, and other beverages. A strong understanding of liquor licensing laws and RSA requirements. Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong stock management and merchandising skills. Ability to work independently and make strategic business decisions. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
