Role The Breakfast Club Manager fulfils an important role with the responsibility for coordinating the provision of the Breakfast Club across the College. The Breakfast Club Manager is required to work cooperatively with students, Wellbeing staff and teachers as part of the Breakfast Club Team, providing high quality nutritious food for students, and to ensure students attending the Breakfast Club enjoy a positive and healthy start to the day. The Breakfast Club Manager will arrive before school for an hour from 7:30am until 9:00am on Mondays and Wednesdays to lead the Breakfast Club Team and the Student Voice Team with the set-up and running of the Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club Manager works with student volunteers and staff to provide Breakfast Club where students are provided with healthy, nutritious meals in a clean, safe and orderly dining room setting. The coordination of purchasing food items and other relevant products is also included in this role. It is important the Breakfast Club Manager leads the Breakfast Club Team in a consistent, professional, courteous and efficient manner at all times. Responsibilities The Breakfast Club Manager will: have full regard to all Health and Safety regulations in the preparation of food lead the compliance of all Health and Safety, and food preparation regulations cater to the needs of all students who attend the Breakfast Club welcome students to the Breakfast Club be aware of and support difference; ensure all students have equal access to the Breakfast Club lead and supervise the preparation of breakfast and drinks for students lead and supervise the supervision, guidance and support of students attending the Breakfast Club lead and supervise the setting out of food and drinks to be served lead and supervise the setting out of crockery and cutlery lead and supervise the preparation of food lead and supervise the clean up duties: washing and drying of dishes; and the storing of foods, crockery and utensils ensure work areas and materials, equipment and appliances are maintained in a clean and ready-to-use condition undertake appropriate training and development activities as provided by the College contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the College ensure that any injury or sickness is reported to a qualified First Aider or the Campus Health Centre Nurse follow recording and reporting procedures in accordance with school policy General promote opportunities for student decision making and involvement in relevant practices document, develop and improve the processes and procedures associated with the position, taking it to new levels in successive years coordinate Breakfast Club volunteers including an ES and Wellbeing roster, ensuring appropriate food handling training for students and staff, in line with OH&S regulations. Ensure these regulations are followed purchase fresh food (weekly) and dry goods (monthly) as required, including sourcing donations of appropriate items where possible liaise with Campus Assistant Principal and Food Tech staff regarding use of College buildings and food technology rooms, and for ensuring safety of Breakfast Club equipment publicise the Breakfast Club to the student cohort and wider community Budget ensure appropriate materials and resources for effective running of the Breakfast Club is provided in line with budget allocations. Community communicate with parents or guardians, students and colleagues in a professional and constructive way.
