Job Summary: The Building Automation Solutions Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing the Building Automation business to meet and exceed the financial goals within Delta Electronics (Australia). The role will include maintaining and developing relationships with Building Owners, Facility Managers, System Integrators, and Institutional partners. In this process, you will prepare high-quality tender proposals, contract reviews in response to bids, quotations, and developing new business through the identification of fresh leads. In addition, you will be responsible for working with the Marketing team to ensure the brand and product are actively promoted through your thorough understanding of the market. Main Responsibilities and Tasks: Developing and executing Building Automation Solutions (BAS) sales strategy. Preparing tender responses. Pitching to customers and partners products and services for Delta Building Automation products and solutions. Creating new customer accounts while maintaining fruitful relationships with existing partners and customers. Researching relevant organizations and individuals online to identify new leads and potential new markets. Researching market needs and identifying procurement decision-makers. Working closely with the Marketing Team to ensure engagement of customers. Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events to expose the Delta brand. Interfacing with legal on contract reviews. Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills. Monitoring and reporting Profit & Loss. Qualifications: Bachelor or Master degree in Business/Engineering/Marketing or similar but with strong dynamic commercial strategic sales focus. Technical background/experience to ensure understanding of building automation products and their interface with building systems. 5+ years of (outside) sales experience in AU and NZ market with strategic decision-making. Tender response experience (ideally also Government). Experience with sales of Building Automation systems is preferred. Technical/Professional skills: In-depth knowledge or willingness to quickly acquire the Building Automation sector knowledge that may be lacking you might be already working in the field or have a strong interest in smart building technologies. You show affinity with renewable technologies, product, and service innovation. In-depth knowledge (preferable) of the Building Automation industry and its current environment in Australia.
