Reporting to the Senior Building Designer this role calls for someone with creativity and innovation who can come up with unique and practical design solutions. As a Building Designer you will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of architectural design principles and building codes. You will also be assisting our clients with their design needs and providing future design ideas for marketing and continuous improvement. You can work from our Loganholme or Warwick offices, and may have the opportunity to work from home on a regular basis once you’ve settled in. If you’re Brisbane-based, regular travel to our head office in Warwick to work with your team will be required. Core responsibilities include: Creating detailed plans using Revit ensuring final designs are based on customer needs and project specifications, whilst guaranteeing building codes and regulations are met. Interacting with customers directly to understand their design preferences, budget and functional requirements. Presenting design concepts to the business and to customers, modifying plans based on feedback and providing solutions for design challenges. Staying up to date with sustainability and innovation in the industry and working to integrate these concepts into your design practices. Collaborating and coordinating with the sales and pre-construction teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth project execution. Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Reviewing your designs for accuracy, clarity and completeness. The skills you’ll need: Experience in both residential and commercial construction, preferably in Queensland Proficiency in Revit Critical thinker with attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in all Microsoft Products, including Microsoft Projects. Experience with ProCore desirable, but not essential. Unrestricted working rights for Australia Why choose us?
