Building Inspector - Building and Timber Pest Inspections About the role As a Building Inspector for Total Building Inspections Qld, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of buildings across Brisbane, QLD. This contract position involves conducting thorough building and timber pest inspections, providing valuable insights to clients and contributing to the overall success of the company. What you'll be doing Carrying out comprehensive building and timber pest inspections for residential and commercial properties Carrying out Building Stage Inspections on residential new builds Identifying and reporting on any structural issues, pest infestations or other concerns that may impact the integrity of the building Providing clear, detailed inspection reports to clients, utilising our user-friendly inspection software SPECTORA Highlighting key findings and recommendations Maintaining thorough documentation and records of all inspections conducted Collaborating with the wider team to ensure a high standard of service and client satisfaction Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, building codes and best practices Essential skills for this role Proven experience as a building inspector or in a similar role within the construction/building industry Be physically fit, with the ability to work in tight spaces and at heights Drivers licence Strong knowledge of building construction, building codes, and relevant regulations Expertise in identifying and assessing structural, pest and other building-related issues Excellent attention to detail, customer service skills and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively liaise with clients and agents A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to inspection sites as required Relevant qualifications: Completed Residential Building Inspection and Licenced Termite Management Contractor What we offer At Total Building Inspections Qld, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
