BCA Engineers is seeking a highly motivated, Engineer for an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team in the Melbourne office. This individual will develop and deliver quality engineering solutions across a variety of market sectors working with and leading project engineering teams. Skills and Experience: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in mechanical engineering or a related field, AND a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in Electrical Engineering. You must also be a recognised Member of Engineers Australia and eligible for registration as a CPEng. BCA Engineers will provide a career pathway for this to occur under the direction of our highly experienced professionals. A sound engineering background, and able to demonstrate experience in modelling, calculations, system selection, sizing and application of Australian standards. Experience in Quality Assurances in respect to relevant Codes and Australian Standards. Experience in managing a variety of projects and lead teams simultaneously. A very high standard of organization and inter-personal communication skills are essential. Complete proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working day-to-day in a busy office environment. A resourceful team player possessing strong planning, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work within project budgets and schedules. AutoCAD and Revit knowledge. Responsibilities: Operate as a design manager / project manager on various projects. Participate in aspects of business administration, finance, marketing. Report to / Provide contributions to Company Directors from time-to-time in respect to various aspects of the business as well as other strategic inputs. Seek and develop new project opportunities in tandem with our Company Directors and senior personnel. Provide technical inputs at a level that positively differentiates us from our competitors. Mentorship of other junior level engineers. Site surveys to assess, evaluate, and document existing conditions. Complete material research and compile project data for the project. Understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards and all other code requirements relative to electrical services including local authority requirements. Prepare concept plans, detailed designs and building services plans to suit project requirements. Prepare technical specifications as required to suit project requirements. Undertake construction administration responsibilities. Communicate and coordinate work with project team, consultants and clients. Occasional travel will be required. Australian Driver’s License required. Must be a permanent resident / authorized to work in Australia. We offer: A supportive development-centered culture with a friendly team.
