The City of Mandurah (CoM) in partnership with the City of Cockburn is seeking a suitably qualified individual to fill the role of Bushfire Risk Mitigation Coordinator. This role is jointly funded by two local governments (Mandurah and Cockburn) and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services. About You As the Bushfire Risk Mitigation Coordinator, you will be proactive and passionate about bushfire risk reduction and driven to deliver agreed bushfire risk treatment outcomes. You will be identifying, reviewing and determining treatment priorities for bushfire risk within the local governments and implementing their Bushfire Risk Management Plans. You will be participating at local Bush Fire Advisory Committees and chairing any relevant mitigation working groups. What You Will Bring to the Team Demonstrated experience in emergency management and bushfire risk mitigation, including an understanding of landholder and agency roles. Proven ability to apply bushfire mitigation strategies that balance environmental sustainability. Knowledge of bushfire prevention frameworks and relevant legislation. Experience in preparing and managing grant funding applications and acquittals. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously. The Finer Details This full-time Level 7 position offered as a contract of up to three years, attracts a salary range of $98,896 - $106,083 gross per annum plus superannuation and includes commuter use of a council vehicle.
