The Business Analyst is responsible for enhancing the quality and efficiency of the systems used to support APRA’s Supervision Philosophy and Supervision Risk and Intensity Model. The Business Analyst provides problem or opportunity analysis, requirements analysis and prioritisation, process mapping and design, solution option analysis, cost, benefits, risk and impact analysis through to benefits realisation analysis if required. The Business Analyst is required to negotiate decisions with stakeholders vital to the achievement of APRA objectives and commitments. This role is regularly required to research, communicate and teach complex ideas, procedures, and/or processes to inform or influence others and gain agreement on solutions. The team APRA’s Information Technology (IT) team delivers, maintains, and enhances essential information technology services that support the organisation's productivity, strategic objectives, and business unit priorities. IT partners with stakeholders to design, implement and maintain IT solutions that meet the needs of the organisation and ensuring these are secure and aligned with APRA’s technology architecture. Key responsibilities Understand business problems and opportunities, facilitate agreement on needs, requirements and optimal business solutions across a complex and diverse business environment with overlapping systems, and document user stories and acceptance criteria; Identify and initiate opportunities to enhance the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of APRA’s processes and systems; Take high-level business needs and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements and cost-effective, user-friendly digital solutions; Work with solution designers and technical resources to oversee the delivery of the digital solutions, and coordinate UAT activities; Develop system, training and user support resources that meet user needs and expectations; Establish rapport with stakeholders quickly and understand where APRA Technology can add value. About you Demonstrated competency of process mapping, engineering, user story design and value analysis; Expert status for requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation as well as the preparation and delivery of analysis documentation and presentations appropriate to the target audience; Demonstrated experience in mapping and documenting data flows and relationship models; Demonstrated competency of a significant range of business analysis and business systems analysis methods, tools and techniques; Experience in design, development and delivery of educational and support documentation; Experience with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure DevOps or similar platforms; Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
