The Business Analyst within amaysim is responsible for end-to-end project delivery, including gathering, analysing, and documenting requirements to support software delivery that meets business and customer needs. They champion Agile ways of working within the Delivery team and collaborate with business partners to translate functional and non-functional requirements into actionable user stories. Working closely with the Product Manager, Tech Lead, and UX Designer, they ensure the team remains aligned with business priorities and on track with delivery. Please note this is a temporary fixed term parental leave cover opportunity of up to 12 months. Your day in the life of a Business Analyst at amaysim Break down large pieces of work into smaller, more manageable stories Work with the Product Manager and Tech Lead to ensure that the team is focusing on the right priorities Work with our engineers to clarify tasks and ensure feature development matches user needs Work with various stakeholders to clarify any unclear acceptance criteria Negotiate requirements dependencies with other teams, reprioritising as appropriate, together with the Product Owner Facilitate requirements modeling sessions Educate stakeholders in the development process Monitor team health Attend the daily standup with the delivery team - Check in on confidence, just to get a feel of where we are and if we’re going to make it by the end of the sprint Participate in story kick-offs and walkthroughs Check that deliverables meet our team Definition of Done What makes you perfect for the role? Naturally, you’re an experienced Business Analyst who is as comfortable in the boardroom as dissecting bugs with end-users, or going under the hood with the dev team You’re a fast learner, passionate about technology and would thrive in a stimulating role working with a complex, constantly evolving product You love documentation. You're analytical, logical and detail oriented You have experience working with a digital development team Agile experience. You’re familiar with Agile ways of working and have worked in delivery teams managing enterprise-level development projects Exceptional written skills. You know how to document technical software requirements and write concise, easy-to-understand user-stories Exceptional verbal communication skills. You can comfortably work with both business and IT people all the way up to the executive level You need the discipline and flexibility to operate in multiple modes (the "now" of the current iteration and the "later" of upcoming iterations) The good stuff...
