Base pay range A$102.00/hr - A$102.00/hr This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading Initial contract to start ASAP until 30/06/2025 paying $818/day Brisbane CBD Location with 2 days WFH per week | Dept of Education BA with exp assessing & finalising operational support services - M365 products Our client, Department of Education, are currently seeking a Business Analyst who will be responsible for finalising operational support services for Microsoft 365 (M365) products, covering both school and corporate environments under a support contract. The role requires the assessment of current support contracts, identification of service gaps, and coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless support for M365 products. The Business Analyst will work closely with other lines of business to eliminate potential overlaps in service agreements and ensure compliance with departmental requirements. Key tasks / responsibilities: Assess Current Support Contracts: Conduct a comprehensive review of existing M365 support contracts to understand service delivery, service levels, response times, and overall effectiveness. Identify Service Gaps: Analyse current and future service support to identify any gaps between current and future departmental requirements. Gather, Validate, and Document Business Requirements: Work with stakeholders to understand and document business needs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with both current and future operational goals. Create Functional Specifications: Develop clear and detailed functional and non-functional requirements for solutions that address identified gaps and support business objectives. Engage with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including school and corporate representatives, to gather insights on their M365 support needs to formulate requirements. Requirements Documentation: Document findings, recommendations, and proposed requirements to support decision-making and contract negotiations. Eliminate Overlaps: Identify potential overlaps in support services across different lines of business and propose streamlined solutions. Stakeholder Meetings & Workshops: Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to establish requirements and ensure a shared understanding of support needs and expectations. Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that all requirements adhere to departmental policies, industry best practices, and compliance requirements. Performance Monitoring: Establish and implement mechanisms to track the effectiveness of M365 support services, ensuring continuous improvement for inclusion in contractual arrangement. Candidates will be assessed on the following criteria: Demonstrated Experience Performing Key Tasks & ResponsibilitiesExperience in assessing and finalizing operational support services for ICT products, particularly Microsoft 365. Proven ability to identify service gaps, analyse business needs, and document functional and non-functional requirements. Meets Mandatory RequirementsRelevant experience in Business Analysis, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience working within government or large enterprise environments on ICT service management or procurement activities. Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL). Knowledge of procurement processes and contract management within a government setting. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, support models, and operational best practices. Written and Oral Communication Skills Excellent communication and documentation skills, including the ability to develop business requirements, procurement documents, and technical specifications. Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills to facilitate discussions and workshops.
