About the role: Fantastic opportunity for an intermediate level technical BA who has at least 3 years’ business analysis experience to work for one of Australia’s leading Insurers. For this role, preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working on risk/regulatory projects and experience in business continuity. Previous exposure to CPS230 would be ideal. Most importantly you will have a can-do attitude, be willing to learn and excel at building relationships. You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 290 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. What you'll do: Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders. Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesize information accurately, completely, and coherently. Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs. Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks where applicable. Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Create detailed user stories to support delivery. Work closely with squad/project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work. Work in an Agile continuous delivery environment and be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements, facilitating workshops and designing solution sessions. What you'll bring: Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a business analyst within a large complex organisation. Demonstrated experience working on risk and regulatory projects, including gathering requirements to meet APRA reporting standards. Strong analytical and communication skills to synthesise information accurately and present it coherently. Proven ability to understand and address the technical impacts of business problems. Familiarity with business continuity practices and an eagerness to enhance your expertise in this area. Confidence, teamwork, and adaptability when engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence to support delivery activities effectively.
