The Redcat Hospitality IT Platform offers business-management software and hardware solutions that cover web and mobile applications including online ordering and loyalty systems, tightly integrated with the point of sale (POS) and back of house applications. Redcat also supports multiple integrations to enhance the offerings suite for our clients. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are excited to hire a Business Analyst / Product Owner to complement our existing team. The Role This role will be diverse in nature, blending the responsibilities of understanding business needs and requirements with those of defining and managing the project/product backlog and project execution. This hybrid Business Analyst/Product Owner role combines the strategic focus of a Product Owner with the analytical and detail-oriented skills of a Business Analyst. The role will see you work closely with the internal stakeholders such as Business Analysts, UX/UI, QA and developers to help ensure development projects are completed efficiently. Responsibilities Running Agile ceremonies to ensure the teams alignment and progress. Proactively identify, validate and remove blockers in workflows. Execute assigned projects including in-sprint delivery, admin, timelines and communicate with internal stakeholders if overall timelines and scope need to be adjusted. Design, document and maintain agile/SDLC work-flow procedures. Effectively communicate changes in project expectations (effort and scope) to internal stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Break down projects into workable tasks in backlog refinement by understanding scope of work given. Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to the Software Project Manager. Ensure the team is fully functional, productive, and focused on delivering high-quality software, by assessing capacity, risks & blockers. Assisting BA team in gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical specifications. About You Demonstrated knowledge in eliciting, analysing and understanding business, technical and functional requirements of tasks and projects through different techniques. Demonstrated knowledge of Agile methodology including facilitation of scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives). Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to consider issues from different perspectives and draw commercially sound recommendations. Effective communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A relevant qualification and 1-3 years experience in Business Analysis, Scrum or a related field is highly regarded. Relevant industry experience in either hospitality or a related technology field (software and product development).
