About the Role This role sits within the Complaints, Remediation & Events Assurance team and serves as dual support for the Customer Resolution and Remediation Portfolio, as well as assisting in the E2E value chain oversight and accountability. You will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the E2E value chain risk assessments, risk-related change management, events management, controls design, and general assurance advice. This involves continuous touchpoints with key business stakeholders to understand risk and controls data outside the CR&R Portfolio, investigation of data quality anomalies, and identification of data trends and hot spots in relation to the E2E process/value chain. In addition, a good understanding of the external risk landscape, including control design for CPS 230, HIPS, and Amplified, will be essential. You will also play an active role in driving improvement in risk capability, culture, and awareness, and promote Operational Risk Management. This role is accountable for: Facilitating and participating in Risk Management Forums (RMFs) including preparation and presentation of specialist content for the E2E forums (example ERGF, CGF, CAF, etc.) Building and maintaining relationships including influencing stakeholders across multiple portfolios to uplift the E2E risk and control environment Providing control objectives and compliance support (including support of control design) including value chain controls relied upon by the businesses Maintaining and managing risk data completeness and quality in NFR Hub Supporting the E2E value chain with reviewing their risk profiles and control environment, overseeing and supporting the E2E value chain with risk treatment plans, and regular risk reviews (e.g., High/Extreme risk reviews) Providing guidance to the Business on how to conduct change risk impacts and risk assessments (including CRMA/ORAs) and how to manage risks related to change implementation Risk advisory support to the Business with making informed decisions on risk management Working with the Business and Control Owners to develop remediation plans Supporting the Business and Control Owners in developing effective controls for the E2E risk management to manage key risks Identifying and developing opportunities to automate and simplify the controls environment What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Deep experience across the CR&R, retail distribution, and product lifecycle to enable E2E oversight of value chain processes Experience in risk management/compliance; OR internal/external auditing Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the E2E value chain (i.e., 4+ Portfolios) to develop effective operational risk management solutions Able to develop and use analytical insights and data across the E2E value chain to identify opportunities to better balance risk with customer propositions and help drive critical business decisions A desire to create a thorough understanding of how our customers and bankers relate and react to embedding risk management in everyday activities Willingness to look at things differently, effectively challenge the status quo, and innovate the CRR Assurance solutions and service provided to the Retail Division Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build relationships across the value chain through a collaborative approach Risk savvy – You build sustainable solutions that protect customers, stakeholders, and the community The customer’s biggest fan – You demonstrate a thirst for better understanding the customer and develop solutions through their eyes Continuous improvement junkie – You constructively challenge the status quo and look for better ways to do things Committed to your own and others’ growth – You strive to stretch and grow yourself and others A problem solver – You are energised by tackling complex problems and use critical thinking to drive better outcomes You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
