Job Description

Business Development Assistant (Entry Level) We’re Oz Hair & Beauty, Australia’s most loved community for all things hair and beauty. Our mission is to help people embrace what they’ve got, enhance what they love, and enjoy the process along the way. If there’s one thing we know, it’s haircare. We’ve been doing it since 1986. From our first salon in Sydney to today’s Australia-wide online community, we’re still family-owned and run. That’s how we share all the insider tips that could only come from a lifetime of caring for your hair. We bring you the products you know and love, from the global power players to the local heroes. Plus the best tips to keep you glowing, with effortless service every time. Welcome to the world of Oz. We are looking for an administrative whiz who thrives on organisation, precision, and mastering software tools. Our multi-brand omni-channel hair and beauty retailer is looking for a Business Development Assistant to join our dynamic team and take charge of the essential administrative backbone of our strategic projects. About the Role As a Business Development Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth briefing and execution of supplier projects, promotional activities, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will love organisation and admin, with the ability to excel in tools like Asana, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Canva, and Shopify—or a quick learner who can become a master of these platforms. This is an entry-level role with opportunities for growth into more strategic positions in the future. What You’ll Do Consolidate administrative tasks, including digital filing, organising, and support managing supplier agreements and contracts. Create briefs and summarise follow-ups from strategic planning meetings. Support the coordination of promotions, collaboration events, and cross-departmental activities. Assist in preparing and organising presentations for supplier strategies and new brand pitches. Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless execution of projects. Meticulously cross-check, validate and consolidate important business information. Create business-related content for LinkedIn, ensuring alignment with brand voice and strategic initiatives. About You A natural organiser who thrives on meticulous attention to detail and administrative tasks. Proficient (or possess ability to become proficient) in tools such as Asana, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and Shopify. Analytical, with the ability to connect data insights to actionable outcomes. Currently studying or recently graduated in Business Management, Project Management, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field. Adaptable, with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude, willing to tackle tasks of any size to contribute to team success. What You’ll Learn Build your business acumen and strategic thinking skills. Gain deep insights into the hair and beauty industry and consumer behaviour. Develop expertise in partnership management and stakeholder engagement. Learn the facilitation of promotional and marketing campaigns. Participate in exciting overarching business initiatives like grand openings, product launches, and consumer events. If you’re looking for an opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute to a thriving business, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now! #J-18808-Ljbffr
