Business Development Manager – Direct Sales Coface is a global leader in trade credit insurance and business information services, providing clients with critical insights to manage risk and expand their businesses. As part of our Business Information (BI) division , this role is a key investment in growing the market presence of our BI solutions in Sydney. About the Role This is a newly created hunter role to expand Coface’s Business Information footprint in Sydney. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities in a high-growth market. The Business Development Manager – Direct Sales will be responsible for expanding Coface’s Business Information (BI) market share in assigned territories. The role focuses on identifying and evaluating sales opportunities, building strong client relationships , and driving revenue growth in the finance, banking, and insurance sectors . Main Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Identify and nurture new business opportunities within assigned customer segments. Develop and manage a strong pipeline of prospects to sell Coface BI solutions. Build long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs and creating customized solutions. Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. Organize signed contract documents, pricing sheets, and customer details for seamless onboarding. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion Maintain and update a ‘living’ sales plan to meet revenue objectives. Work closely with internal stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure strategic sales execution. Leverage industry expertise to identify cross-selling opportunities. Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts and maintain CRM hygiene to ensure an up-to-date pipeline. Industry & Product Knowledge Drive product and technical knowledge for commercial use. Prepare and present accurate pricing & quotation proposals based on market trends and client needs. Stay updated on industry changes, client challenges, and competitor activities. Requirements Degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Finance, Economics, or related field). 5-7 years of experience in data sales , with a minimum of 3 years in the finance, banking, or insurance sector . Strong understanding of the Asia-Pacific market , particularly Australia. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strategic partnerships. Australian citizen, permanent resident, or long-term work permit holder . Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Hybrid work model – Minimum 3 office days per week.
