Business Development Manager - Metals & Mining, Renewables and Energy Transition AME Research is a global research and advisory firm specializing in the energy transition since 1971. Role Description We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Sydney, NSW office. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on Metals & Mining, Renewables, and the Energy Transition sectors. The successful candidate will develop and execute business development strategies, cultivate strong relationships with clients (particularly within financial institutions), identify and capitalize on new opportunities, and drive the company's growth and success. Key Responsibilities: Build and nurture relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders in the natural resources and mining industries. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Metals & Mining, Renewables, and Energy Transition markets. Utilize CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, to manage client interactions and track business development activities effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development strategies with client needs and market trends. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry developments and competitive dynamics. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients. Willingness to travel as needed to foster client relationships and explore new opportunities. Qualifications: 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management, ideally with exposure to financial institutions. Strong interest in natural resources, mining, and the energy transition. Proficiency with CRM platforms, especially Salesforce. Knowledge of Metals & Mining, Renewables, and Energy Transition industries. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with an aptitude for financial analysis. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. Why Join AME Research?
