About the Role The role of the Business Development Officer (BDO) focuses on the growth and development of Canberra Imaging Group’s referring practitioner market by overseeing relationships with referrers and their clinics. The BDO works closely with the Business Development Manager and management teams at imaging sites to ensure workflows and communication run effectively. The BDO will help grow the business financially and culturally by identifying new opportunities, raising brand and service awareness, and promoting our people. It is expected that the BDO will bring positivity, enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, innovation, and energy to their role, relationships, and the business in general. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with referring doctors, medical clinics, and healthcare professionals. Act as the primary contact for referrer inquiries, feedback, and concerns, ensuring timely issue resolution. Conduct regular site visits and meetings with referrers to promote services and gather insights. Provide education and training to referrers regarding new imaging modalities and processes. Monitor and report on referrer feedback, referral patterns, and business opportunities. Support marketing and business development initiatives. Maintain accurate records of interactions and engagement activities. What We’re Looking For Experience in a client-facing role, preferably in healthcare or radiology. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build professional relationships. Knowledge of the healthcare industry, particularly radiology and diagnostic imaging. A proactive approach to identifying business opportunities and resolving issues. Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Current driver’s licence and ability to travel as required. Desirable Qualifications & Experience Experience in radiology, medical sales, or business development. Tertiary qualifications in business, healthcare administration, marketing, or a related field.
