Directorate Business, Growth & Community Classification Grade F Salary $79,941 to $92,731 pa + 11.5% employer contribution to superannuation Reporting To Business Excellence and Improvement Partner Employment Type Temporary Full Time - 2-year Fixed Term The Position This role will provide project support to the Business Excellence and Improvement Partner, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and customers to deliver the project objectives of the Service Excellence Program. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate Service Planning workshops and guide discussion with teams across AlburyCity. Interpret and document discussions, seeking feedback and additional input where required. Identify opportunities to improve Service Planning processes. Support community engagement activities across AlburyCity Service Excellence projects. Prepare Business Excellence reports for a range of audiences, including senior leaders. Lead, motivate and inspire Our People in developing their understanding of Service Planning and continuous improvement. Promote and embed service planning and business excellence principles, tools and techniques. Coach and mentor Our People in understanding service planning and ‘systems thinking’ to enable a smooth alignment of integrated services. Prepare comprehensive change plans to support the implementation of improvements to systems and processes. Guide process mapping workshops across teams and document outcomes. Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee’s skill, competence and training. Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS. Qualifications KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Our People External Our Community Other Government bodies and associations Specialist Consultants and Contractors Employment Conditions Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity’s RDO guidelines. This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 35 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed in advance with your supervisor. This position does not require you to wear a compulsory uniform, however you must follow the dress code requirements within the AlburyCity’s Our People Dress Code Standards. This position involves working in a predominantly indoor environment and using a computer is considered a core component of the role. There may be occasional visits to other work locations. This position requires evidence of a current Australian National Police Check. This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing. This position is located at the AlburyCity Administration Building, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury with occasional visits to external sites/depots as required. Essential Criteria Degree or Diploma level qualifications in Business Management, Project Management, Improvement or related field or relevant, equivalent work experience. Desirable Criteria Knowledge of service planning, formal training in improvement and/or change methodologies (e.g. Agile Project Management, PCI Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, Customer Journey Mapping). Experience Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and guiding discussions to achieve outcomes. Demonstrated experience applying project and change management principles to improve corporate performance. Ability to describe and document levels of service and to analyse and evaluate service delivery to find efficiency improvements. Specialist Knowledge And Skills Developed consultancy skills including demonstrated ability to understand the issues, gain the stakeholder confidence and jointly develop innovative solutions. Strong facilitation skills – the ability to present information clearly, understand and synthesise discussion, guide discussion with effective questioning techniques, and summarise key points succinctly. Strong relationship builder – capacity to engage with a wide audience. Sound working knowledge of: Service delivery and service levels. Process / Journey mapping. Change management principles. Business improvement. Continuous improvement programs. Project management. Document preparation using Microsoft Office 365 suite.
