Business Manager - Caboolture State School Education (Organisation site)Metropolitan North Region, School and Regional Operations and Performance Division Caboolture State School is seeking a permanent full-time Business Manager to join our administrative team and contribute to our commitment of knowing and supporting every learner and fostering belonging and connection. The Business Manager will oversee the financial, operational, and administrative functions of the school. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial management skills to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources. This starts with recruitment and selection. About Caboolture State School Caboolture State School is located on the Sunshine Coast in the state of Queensland, Australia. It has served the Caboolture district for 127 years and is a co-educational state school with a current enrolment of approximately 600 students. The focus of our school is to foster children's learning in a supportive, creative, and harmonious environment, preparing them to become lifelong learners and responsible contributing members of our society. About the Role Responsibilities include: Operate autonomously in the provision of business services to the school, in an environment that at times exhibits a degree of complexity and frequently requires the interpretation of information and adaptation of processes. Provide a comprehensive range of administrative support (e.g. preparation of reports and correspondence) and identify problems, conduct research, seek expert advice, and recommend solutions. Undertake the day-to-day supervision and management of school support staff, including monitoring workloads and performance (working in collaboration with the Principal for any difficult performance management situations); identifying workforce capability requirements; and role modelling performance standards. Support the Principal with the preparation and administration of the budget, undertaking day-to-day financial activities (e.g. reviewing school expenditure, managing payroll and purchasing, producing financial reports from OneSchool); seeking external expert financial advice when appropriate. Monitor and provide advice to the Principal on facilities and ground maintenance (e.g. advising on minor works and repairs schedules, negotiating with contractors, facilitating repairs, and overseeing expenditure of planned and unplanned maintenance budgets). Build networks with other Business Managers, staff, and community representatives to ensure the provision of corporate services meets best practice. Interested?
