Based in Student and Academic Services at the City East or Mawson Lakes Campus Full-time, fixed term contracts available until 31 December 2025 Salary: $112,143 per annum (plus 17% superannuation) About You You are an experienced people and operational manager, with a passion for leading teams through change and providing coaching to your people. You are confident in managing relationships across an organisation, and always find a solution to complex queries. You are focussed on continuous quality improvement. About the Role Reporting to the Senior Business Partner, this role is responsible for establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with, and acting as the key conduit between, SAS and the Academic Units. It is also responsible for the effective leadership and mentorship of the SAS Campus Team and functions. About Student and Academic Services (SAS) SAS provides senior leadership in student and academic administration in a distributed service environment. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of policy, information systems and procedural frameworks. The Unit coordinates and provides quality assurance for a number of University functions including student admissions, enrolments, examinations, graduations, student finance and scholarships. Essential Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a collaborative team including fostering an effective service orientated and continuous improvement culture in a complex environment High level interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including demonstrated negotiating skills when working with senior staff on complex and sensitive issues, and the capacity to communicate effectively with people at all levels of an organisation Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of business and operational plans High level strategic thinking, planning and analytical skills that utilises knowledge of contemporary technologies and techniques and independent judgement and initiative to design innovative solutions and provide recommendations on both strategic and operational matters Demonstrated capacity to manage change and the ability to respond positively to a changing work environment Benefits Getting a great job working with the best is just the start.
