Directorate Business, Growth & Community Classification Grade I Salary $102,918 to $119,385 pa + 11.5% employer contribution to superannuation Reporting To Service Leader Business & Lifestyle Employment Type Permanent Full Time The Position This position is responsible for the development of marketing and communication strategies for AlburyCity's commercial business functions. It is also responsible for the coordination and implementation of tactical marketing activity for the activities, events, services and facilities of commercial business and other relevant teams. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify the strategic marketing requirements for AlburyCity's commercial businesses/activities as well as key services and facilities and develop strategies and or campaigns designed to achieve specific outcomes. Evaluate and report on marketing activity against agreed objectives and KPIs. Monitor budget allocations for specific marketing campaigns and projects. Lead, contribute and/or support operational and organisational strategy development and planning including any administrative support. Identify and establish processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness in the delivery of AlburyCity's marketing activity. Work with the internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement annual marketing tactical activities for all campaigns, both on and off-line for AlburyCity's commercial business. Support operational and organisational strategy development and planning including all administrative support for all Commercial business marketing activity. Ensure effective content development and management for social media, digital advertising and collateral development of all commercial business activities. Build and maintain relationships with industry, groups, and organisations including the City of Wodonga. Keep abreast of industry, regional, state and national plans, strategies, policies and best practice that relate to AlburyCity's commercial business. Undertake ongoing market research and evaluation. Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training. Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS. Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day to day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity's Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct. Qualifications KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Our people External Our Community Government Agencies Creative and Marketing Agencies and Contractors Media agencies Employment Conditions Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines. This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 35 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed with your supervisor. This position does not require you to wear a compulsory uniform, however you must follow the dress code requirements within the AlburyCity’s Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely. This position involves working in a predominantly indoor environment and using a computer is considered a core component of the role. There may be occasional visits to other work locations. The position requires an average level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake occasional physical activities, such as walking and lifting, along with general manual handling tasks as part of a normal working environment. A medical declaration is required for this position. This position requires evidence of a current Australian National Police Check. This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing. This position is located at the AlburyCity Administration Building, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury with occasional visits to external sites/depots as required. Essential Criteria Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, Business or other related fields or equivalent relevant work experience. Class C Driver's Licence Experience Demonstrated high level experience in marketing and business development. Demonstrated high level experience in developing marketing strategy and implementing integrated campaign activity. Experience in researching, writing, editing and project management. Experience in design and content creation. Experience in management and leadership, with strong stakeholder management skills. Specialist Knowledge And Skills Demonstrated experience in developing marketing strategies and campaigns. Demonstrated understanding and experience in objective setting and ROI analytics. Experience in the use of content management systems, electronic direct mail systems and Adobe Creative Suite. Well-developed knowledge of graphic design and print production processes. Well-developed knowledge of digital marketing and ability to write and publish web and social media content. Proven research and evaluation skills and knowledge of Google Analytics. High level skills in project management and coordination and production of high quality marketing content. Experience and or an understanding of Local Government (desired).
