Job Description

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced B2G Gateway Project Manager to join their Brisbane, Sydney or Canberra team. This is a 12 month contract with 2x6 months extension. This role is open for Australian citizens with an active Baseline clearance. 12 month contract with 2x6 months extension Open for Canberra, Brisbane, or Sydney Hybrid role (3 days in office and 2 days WFH) Open for Australian citizens with the ability to obtain a Baseline clearance Paxus pays weekly As a B2G Gateway Project Manager, you will require experience in the management and successful delivery of digital health projects and programs. To be successful in this role you must: Demonstrated experience in managing digital health projects in a multi-vendor environment, creating and managing integrated project schedules that align dependencies and deliverables, track progress, and minimize project risk. Ability to perform a leadership role and be responsible for defining and managing the requirements, scope, and the end-to-end delivery of projects ensuring compliance with the Agency's project management framework, policies, and procedures. High level stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to understand, negotiate, and resolve very complex, difficult, and/or sensitive issues that may arise within a project. Ability to facilitate technical discussions to understand the impact on project delivery and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. To be considered for this role you must: Possess and apply highly developed project management expertise and knowledge across Agency projects; ensuring all assigned projects are commenced, progressed, and concluded in compliance with the Agency's project management framework and the Agency's assurance and governance processes for security, risk, and clinical safety requirements. Provide project management expertise across a broad range of project activities required to successfully achieve the outcomes; including setting the priorities and standards for project activities (such as consultation, planning, scheduling, reporting, budgets, etc.). Accountable for the achievement of own and team outcomes, monitoring team progress, and following through to deliver quality outcomes; determining the operational direction for a project and ensuring alignment with project plans and the Agency's mid to longer-term planning objectives. Responsible for building project teams' capability through coaching, providing performance feedback, and encouraging career development that enables the effective delivery of project outcomes. Accountable for planning and managing allocated human, physical, and financial resources within a project; developing appropriate controls, monitoring achievement against plans, and adjusting plans to meet changing demands. Undertake very complex project work activities with an awareness of their possible impact on strategic, political, or operational outcomes for the Agency; performing regular reviews on the project to ensure risks and issues related to the project are identified, assessed, and mitigated in alignment with applicable Agency frameworks. Work with project delivery teams to track progress and compliance against the requirements contained in project plans; identifying any variance to the project plan requirements; taking action on what needs to be done; choosing options and appropriate courses of action from a range of options. Work with a level of independence and under broad direction to provide project management guidance based on established Agency project priorities, frameworks, and methodologies; leading the delivery of complex and very complex project outcomes. Communicate and make decisions based on professional judgment, Agency project management framework, and the evaluation of risks to the project in the context of a very complex and changing Agency operating environment.
