About CASA House CASA House is committed to breaking the silence surrounding sexual assault and advocating for victim/survivors. Our services include crisis care, counselling, advocacy, support groups, and education programs. Guided by an intersectional feminist framework, we aim to provide culturally safe, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care. About the Role As the CASA House Manager you will lead our dedicated team in providing critical support services for victim/survivors of sexual assault. You’ll oversee the daily operations of CASA House, driving excellence in crisis counselling, advocacy, and support services. You’ll also manage strategic planning, staff development, and collaboration with key stakeholders to advance best practices in sexual assault response and prevention. A regular day will see you: Lead and motivate a diverse, multidisciplinary team, creating a positive culture and ensuring adherence to quality standards Maintain operational oversight, ensuring key performance indicators are maintained, the team are operating within funding parameters and that clinical standards are maintained Collaborate with other managers in the Social Model of Health to develop and implement service strategies, and work closely with Director Social Model of Health Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government and community organisations Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with accreditation standards Oversee the 24-hour response service, ensuring victim/survivors receive timely and effective support This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a service deeply committed to advocacy, trauma-informed care, and equity, ensuring timely, high-quality support for those in need. About you You will be someone with excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll also bring with you: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or a relevant health profession, which includes a primary focus on the impacts, trauma, attachment and development, and a practical component such as counselling or case work practice Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or other relevant professional body Demonstrated crisis counselling experience and extensive specialist knowledge and skills in supporting survivors of sexual assault and violence Previous experience of effective leadership in a complex environment, including responding to crisis situations and implementing change Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team whilst maintaining leadership and accountability, and extensive experience in providing professional supervision Strong knowledge of contemporary issues in regards to violence against women in policy and practice At the Women's you will enjoy a culture that is collaborative, supportive and passionate about learning.
