The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team within our Drug and Alcohol Management Unit. About You You have current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You possess demonstrated clinical experience in the management of substance dependent patients, in particular patients in substance withdrawal. You have an understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team with demonstrated personal attributes including resilience, integrity and accountability and ability to effectively prioritise workload. Where you'll be working This nursing position involves the assessment, monitoring, treatment and supportive care for people undertaking alcohol and drug withdrawal in an inpatient setting. Maruma-li Inpatient Withdrawal Management Service is located on the Wyong Hospital site and is part of the Central Coast Health LHD Drug & Alcohol Service. The service works collaboratively with other health and non-health service providers and GPs. The CCLHD Drug & Alcohol Service provides ongoing supervision education and training in the drug and alcohol field for all staff. The position involves working a flexible rotating roster comprising twelve hour shifts.
