Our Gosford Hospital – Emergency Department is currently rolling out Safe Staffing Levels, an initiative that involves the introduction of minimum staffing levels. We are actively recruiting to both permanent and temporary vacancies, with temporary vacancies ranging from 6–12-month contracts. Our Emergency Department works 12-hour shift profiles. About You AHPRA and valid Australian work rights: You are currently residing in Australia and hold a valid AHPRA registration and have a minimum of 2 years working experience as a registered nurse, or you are a New Zealand citizen holding a current New Zealand Passport. (Please note we do not offer sponsorship) Clinical Expertise: You have a proven track record in providing acute services and emergency medicine care with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Certification programs are available through exceptional education in the emergency department. Strong Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. A Growth Mindset: A commitment to continuous learning and improvement in patient care and clinical skills. Requirements Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). To be considered for permanent employment in this role, applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents of Australia, or New Zealand citizens holding a current New Zealand passport.
