Job Description

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide advanced clinical expertise and care relevant to the delivery of formulation-driven therapy (psychological and psychosocial interventions) to consumers of public mental health services, whose behaviours are causing harm or putting themselves or others at risk of harm. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Apply latest evidence and high-level understanding of contemporary, clinical practice standards as relevant to the coordination of information and provision of mental health services and forensic interventions. Provide consultation-liaison assistance to mental health services and other relevant stakeholders in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing risk management of complex patients presenting with serious mental illnesses and violent and other concerning behaviours. Input into the development and facilitation of training and education in forensic mental health and intervention topics to mental health treatment teams and other relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with others in the provision of policy advice on issues relating to professional and clinical practice, education and research relating to forensic mental health services.
