Job Description Hunter Valley Operations moves more than 114 MBCM of material per annum with a fleet that includes two rope shovels, supported by a fleet of Excavators & haul trucks. Run of Mine Coal is processed via our Hunter Valley and Howick Coal Handling and Preparation Plants with product loaded and railed for export via two train loading terminals. We are currently seeking an experienced CHPP Maintenance Planning Superintendent to join our team. Reporting to the CHPP Manager, the responsibilities of this role include: Working closely and collaboratively with the Maintenance Execution Superintendent and Production Superintendents to manage all aspects of the maintenance of the CHPP to achieve safety, financial, reliability and availability targets. Providing direction to and support for maintenance planning staff. Developing and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance team. Assisting with the development and management of the CHPP maintenance budget. Manage, coach and mentor supervisors and maintenance crew personnel. Contractor Management. Roster and Location Monday to Friday Roster Based on site at HVO North Facility About You (relevant experience/knowledge) Strong Health & Safety knowledge and experience. Demonstrated experience leading a multidisciplinary maintenance team. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills. Demonstrated ability in understanding operational targets and performance. Extensive experience in Coal Handling & Preparation Plants, in a same or similar role. Strong understanding and capability in safety culture and leadership concepts, practical application of risk assessment; hazard identification and controls; and incident management and investigation. Tertiary qualifications in engineering or asset management and a background in budgeting and cost management in a SAP / Xeras environment is highly desirable. A high level of experience in development / management of maintenance budgets, experience in maintenance management system optimisation, condition monitoring and fleet procurement and overhauls programs will be highly regarded. Extensive working knowledge of the SAP PM module. Excellent time management skills. About You (Qualifications) Mechanical or Electrical Degree or Associate Diploma, or, a Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification combined with appropriate experience.
