We’re hiring on behalf of Afterpay to help them build an exceptional in-house creative team. The Opportunity The Australian Afterpay team is looking for a motivated CRM Designer . We’re looking for a proactive problem-solver, a natural collaborator, and an ideas-fountain that thinks outside of the circle. As part of our in-house creative team, you will be at the heart of bringing creative ideas to life. You’ll be asked to connect dots, organise thoughts, and translate CRM strategy into great design experiences . You will collaborate with teams across Afterpay to launch creative marketing experiences that guide our mission, business, and brand forward. Our ideal candidate is excited by the development and iteration of a wide range of creative projects that includes adapting creative concepts across multiple channels . Ideally, they geek out design principles, processes and take the initiative to find the solution for any problem thrown their way. They are happy to get their hands dirty and ensure that every project always ends up with the best result possible, even if that includes 8 changes and a file name that ends in Final-FINAL_v6.psd (We avoid this at all costs, but even your portfolio has been there). Summary of the Role: Serve as a brand champion , understanding all aspects of Afterpay’s visual style guide . Align with brand and design systems to create a cohesive experience across platforms . Be a motivated collaborator and brainstorming wizard . Work cross-functionally with marketing managers, designers, copywriters, creative directors, and agencies to align on campaign needs. Execute polished designs for both existing initiatives and new concepts . Collaborate with the marketing team , learning from insights and continuing to improve conversion with strong digital design . Drive creative development and execution based on production objectives . Get your hands dirty on production jobs or rolling out campaigns . Who You Are: Like us, you’ll be deeply committed to delivering positive outcomes for our merchants and customers and are passionate about shaping the future of Afterpay . Minimum 5 years of design experience with a solid understanding of the principles of layout, typography, colour, and photography . A strong portfolio of creative work across a range of marketing channels , with a preference for digital channels, email, web, app, and paid social ads . Proven experience designing for email , including best practices such as text-over-image design, mobile-first layouts, and dark mode compatibility . Experience designing mobile-first and across devices . A basic understanding of marketing objectives, channels, and consumer behaviour . Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects while working both independently and within a team. Pixel-perfect attention to detail . Solid Adobe Creative Suite skills and proficiency in Figma is a must. An ability to take on feedback , even when you don’t 100% agree. A thorough understanding of all file types , including digital and print, including dispatching. An infectiously positive attitude, a keen eye for trending inspiration, and an open mind . Willingness to grow and learn . The Role & Working Environment The successful applicant will work fully remotely but will have the opportunity for in-office collaboration at Afterpay's Sydney office. A variety of tools and services will be available to ensure a seamless workflow.
